Two-component epoxy primer for concrete floors.
The epoxy primer:
- strengthens and consolidates the surface;
- provides water resistance and waterproofing;
- significantly improves adhesion of the finish coat;
- can also be used as a standalone coating.
Designed for priming concrete floors before the application of epoxy self-leveling flooring.
The primer strengthens and seals the concrete surface, reduces dust formation, fills pores and ensures reliable adhesion of subsequent coatings.
The epoxy primer also provides good adhesion to non-absorbent substrates such as metal, ceramic tiles and existing epoxy coatings. For low-grade concrete, a second coat of primer is recommended 2–3 hours after the first coat, while the surface is still tacky.
The epoxy primer is resistant to water, chemicals, mechanical wear and abrasion.
Applications
The epoxy primer is suitable for industrial and commercial facilities, including:
- retail and manufacturing facilities;
- food and pharmaceutical facilities;
- childcare and medical facilities;
- warehouses;
- aircraft hangars;
- automotive repair shops;
- garages.
The primer is used as a preparatory coat before applying epoxy self-leveling flooring and can also be used as a standalone coating.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry and structurally sound.
The primer is used as a preparatory coat before applying epoxy self-leveling flooring and can also be used as a standalone coating.
Substrate requirements:
- moisture content — not more than 4%
- compressive strength — at least 20 MPa
- pull-off strength — at least 1.5 MPa
Application Procedure
Before application, add Component B (hardener) to Component A. Mix thoroughly for 2–3 minutes.
Apply the primer using a roller or rubber squeegee.
Pot life of the mixed material: 20–30 minutes.
Apply at ambient temperatures of +5 °C or above.
In hot weather, it is recommended to prepare the primer in small batches of 2–3 kg and apply them progressively.
Clean tools with solvent immediately after use.
Consumption
Epoxy primer consumption is 0.25–0.35 kg/m², depending on the type and grade (class) of concrete and the condition of the substrate.
Safety Precautions
When applying the material indoors, ensure adequate ventilation during application and thoroughly ventilate the area after completion.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Storage
Store the epoxy material in tightly closed containers at temperatures from 0 to +30 °C.
Do not heat. Keep away from fire and direct sunlight.
