It is a direct equivalent of <strong>ED-20 epoxy resin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EPIKOTE 828 provides excellent pigment wetting and high resistance to filler settling. It offers good mechanical properties and high chemical resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As EPIKOTE 828 is a pure bisphenol A-based epoxy resin, it is prone to crystallization during storage, particularly at low temperatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EPIKOTE 828 is used in the production of durable, high-strength coatings with a high solids content, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>epoxy enamels;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>self-leveling floors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>adhesives;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>primers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>putties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also used in the manufacture of various electronic and electrical components, including encapsulation and impregnation applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can also be used for <strong>filament winding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advantages<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>medium viscosity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>excellent pigment wetting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>high resistance to filler settling;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provides high mechanical strength;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provides high chemical resistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Storage conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EPIKOTE 828 should be stored at room temperature, protected from moisture, in its original tightly sealed packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Under these conditions, the minimum shelf life is <strong>three years from the date specified in the certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">If EPIKOTE 828 becomes cloudy or crystallizes during storage, it can be restored by heating to <strong>55\u201365 \u00b0C while stirring<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EPIKOTE 828 is an unmodified, medium-viscosity epoxy resin based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin.
